Wordpress: Displaying the posts on another page?

rememberkoo asked:

Is there a way to strip the code out of Wordpress so that I can only have the posts display on a different page?

What I want to do is, make a site that is separated into three columns, and each column shows posts from three different categories. For instance, if I sign into my Wordpress and post a song under the category of “music”, and then I open this three-columned page, I would want it to show up in the third column. Any videos I put up under the “videos” category, I would want to only show up in the second column… and so on. After some research it sounded like some possibilities were to get some kind of plugin that organizes categories, or build three instances of Wordpress and have the three columned page contain three frames of webpages.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Multiple instances of WordPress and frames would be just making the problem far more complex than it needs to me.
with some CSS magic should probably do the trick, but I have never dealt with this issue — though I am pretty sure it comes up regularly!
