What is the "Ninja Blogger"?
“Affiliate program can earn you more than twice what you are earning now” – That was the title of the blog post I published on Friday. I’m glad that this blog post was so much helpful for lots of bloggers.
Actually I had thought of posting that blog post around 6 months back. But I hold on. Now, I’m really glad that I didn’t post it then because I couldn’t have shown you an easy way or right direction to implement my advice at that time. Although the idea of linking keywords to affiliate link sounds easy, I knew most of the bloggers won’t do that at all. How can I ever deny the fact that some of us are lazy bones after all!
Instead I focused on creating something which will make it a breeze to do what I suggested as well as some more things which I think is a must for all the bloggers who promotes affiliate programs.
The result was: "MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate"
The first beta version of this wordpress plugin was ready around 5 months ago, but I wasn’t so eager to make it official then. After all, MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate is the first paid plugin that we were going to release after launching almost 12 free plugins!
My aim was to ensure that the plugin would meet everyone’s expectations, leaving no serious bugs behind. I checked and rechecked the plugin to bring out the best I can.
So, I did a small test launch with Gobala Krishnan. The response I got was grand, helping me fix some bugs too. The result I got is now worth sharing in front of you all.
In fact I was so thrilled to see few enthusiasts who preferred the plugin and they enjoyed recommending it to their friends. This gradually seemed to form an “inner blogging circle” who knew about the plugin and the words just spread on.
Like I said earlier, there couldn’t have been a better time than now to share with you this plugin treasured well in the “inner blogging circle”. It’s now much easier for me to answer some of the questions in the previous blog post as the solution is already ready.

looks like this plugin gonna worth investing. Will it check keywords per page or per posting? I just cannot wait.
It will check keyword per post. I think checking keyword per page is not a good idea as people are conditioned to view each post as a single entity even if it is listed on the same page.
I’m curious if this plugin is similar to the wp Affiliate Pro plug in? It seems it’s similar in features and does about the same thing.
Looks as if you have a great plug in.

There is a huge difference between MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate and WP Affiliate PRO. First of all Ninja Affiliate has many unique features and can be used entirely different than WPAfiliatePRO while WPAffiliatePRO don’t have those features at all. Also WPAffiliatePRO poorly do the things what it does.
Here is a quick comparison chart:

Links generated by it are short and meaningful. E.g. http://yourblog.com/recommends/easywordpress

Poor replacement of keywords by WP Affiliate pro
Say you have put these keywords in wpaffiliate pro:

Then WP affiliate pro will produce this result:
Keyword replacement in wrong places:
Here the keywords “courses”, “restrictive” shouldn’t be converted to links but WPAffiliate PRO did. If you use WP Affiliate pro then you’ll have lots of funny link like above in the screenshot.
WP Affiliate PRO breaks existing links:
In the screenshot above the second word restrictive was actually linked to google like this:
<a href=”http://www.google.com”>restrictive</a>
WP Affiliate PRO broke that link by inserting this code:
<a href=”http://www.google.com”><a href=”http://wpaffiliate link”>rest</a>rictive</a>
WP Affiliate Pro doesn’t respect the upper case or lower case of the words:
In the screenshot above the last sentence was: “Rest here as well to test.”
The word rest was in title case like: “Rest”
But the WP affiliate pro converted it to lower case.
MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate don’t have any such problem and is smart enough to do the replacing carefully.

If you notice the keywords “google adsense” and “adsense” appear in both the affiliate links: EasyWordpress and Adsense Videos.
Now if you write blog post like this:
In the above post the word Adsense is repeated twice. Ninja affiliate is smart to replace those both keywords with different affiliate link. First keyword : “Adsense” will link to “adsense videos” while another “adsense” keyword will link to EasyWordpress.
Ninja affiliate make sure that only the unique keywords get replaced first then only it replaces the duplicate keywords. Even while replacing the duplicate keywords, it makes sure to include different link randomly. Thus it makes sure you get maximum advantage out of keyword replacement.

I have used this and every one should be excited about it. WP****Pro and WP***DX are not as good as this. The pictures and descriptions don’t do NA justice.
It’s really well designed and easy to use. Fast too. It gives me excellent control over the keywords. It gives you a redirect url for the product at the same time. You can set it to be cloaked also. You can use the url links any where and they work not just on the blog it’s installed on. So you can use the same links in your emails. You don’t need to create a redirect file it handle everything. If you want to edit something it’s easy. I use it for affiliate and non-affiliate destination links.
I control how many times a keyword is a link so I can have a link to a product at the beginning of an article and one near the bottom. The rest of the times that keyword is used it is just regular text. I do this by entering 2 keywords for the same product or destination.
Like this for example: MaxBlogPress - and - Visit MaxBlogPress - are the 2 keywords. Then in the beginning of the post I use MaxBlogPress and at the end of the post I would use - Visit MaxBlogPress. This gives a nice look to the article and gives the visitor the option to click right away at beginning or when they get to the bottom.
I like one at the bottom so the visitor doesn’t need to scroll up to find a link. You set this in the - Keywords to Ninja Links Options. I set - # same keyword per post or comment to 1 and - # ninja links in same post or comment to 15. I set that to 15 because I had a post listing a lot of online keyword and trend tools you can use for free. You can quickly change all the settings to fit you style of writing and desired visual effect. It’s fun to experiment and because it’s so easy you’ll do it instead of just think about it.
When I get a banner ad for a product I replace my affiliate link with a NA redirect. That way I can use NA to count the clicks on it. I could probably right a post on how much I like it but won’t. I give NA my highest recommendation.

Can we exclude posts with this plugin? I want to add product review posts to my blog and wouldn’t want to have links show up in these posts that would distract the visitor from the product actually being reviewed, I want to only have affiliate links in these posts that point to the product being reviewed.
I have the same question about your unblockable popup plugin. It does allow you to specify only which posts the popup will work on, but in my case this would be alot of work. It would be much easier to create a review type post and be able to exclude it from the popup and from the NA plugin by clicking on checkboxes as I am creating these posts. Or is there another way to accomplish this with these plugins? If not that would be a great new feature. Otherwise both these plugins look great. Thanks for all your hard work.

You have made very good point. There is no “exclude post” feature in the current version but we have already added this is in our todo list for the plugin. It will be available in the future version of the plugin.
I’ve also noted down your suggestion for the unblockable popup and it may be available in the next version.

Usually CJ gives you a copy and paste code and not a direct affiliate link. You’ll have to take out the actual tracking link from there and use that in Ninja Affiliate.
I just got an email from Ed na of WP M*****r DX telling me that if I want to continue to receive updates I must join her new half completed membership site and pay $7 a month basic or $97 a year premium(my choice). Or no more updates. And this is a deal because the site isn’t done yet and isn’t ready to go live for the public.
I have her Art**leM***gerDX, C*shL**ksDX, Ads*DX, WP Ma**ger DX and already paid for them. She gave my a whole 24 hrs to decide. Some how free updates at the time I purchased has changed to pay up or no more updates.
I think I’ll have to let my WP ***** DX stuff go away. I don’t want to bring up the customer support. I kept the products for the last 2 years but didn’t recommend them. The support response I got was why.
I would also like to say that Pawan and MBP team give excellent support and that MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate is a superior product. Just my opinion.

You may be confused by seeing the “John Collins” comment above. He is one of the few “ninja bloggers” who grabbed it while I did a test launch.
On tuesday I’ll be officialy launching the plugin.
Hot dog! This sounds perfect! I hope the price won’t be a killer, because I believe I *must* have this tool. I’ve never paid for a plug-in in my life, but I already have my wallet in my hand.
You might not believe this but I was interested in this plugin and was going to check out how much it cost. I could not find the link to the sales page! I searched for quite some time and I finally gave up.
Maybe it’s obvious and I’m missing it, but I thought you should know. I’ve put it on my “To Do” list to look for it again later!

As usual, great job on your side. I am now officially using MBP Ninja Affiliate and Max Banner Ads Pro as the two most important plugins for all my Adsense / affiliate marketing blogs and it’ excellent. I will never need any other plugin to monetize my blog content.
I especially love the keyword replacement part, but perhaps in future versions you can prevent the plugin from replacing hyperlinks that are already hard-coded in the blog post. Other than than, Ninja Affiliate rocks.

Ninja Affiliate shouldn’t replace the hard-coded links in the blog post. Can you please send me the sample of the blog post where it is replacing the hard-coded link? I’ll make sure to fix it.

I sent you an email about this, but since I haven’t heard back, I thought I’d post it here just in case you didn’t get it.
I’ve discovered a nasty little bug with the Ninja Affiliate Plugin.
I’ve installed and activated it on a new blog, and in the process of editing the default “about” page and “hello world” posts, I’ve found something very interesting.
While the admin screen SHOWS the changes in the post box after saving, when you view the public page in a browser, the changes do NOT show.
I’ve tested it with a proxy server, and same problem, so it’s not a browser cache issue.
I’ve had my server support look at the issue with no result.
I removed and reinstalled WordPress, and still had the same problem.
So then I started turning plugins OFF
The moment Ninja Affiliate was turned off, I was instantly able to see the changes made when I refreshed the page.
Thought you should know about this one… pretty critical oops
Details:
Using WP 2.6.1
Other active plugins - only Akismet and Wordpress.com stats.
It affects both pages and posts.

First of all, I suggest you to create a “support ticket” or post in the support forum to get the faster reply. Sometime (like in your case) I miss to process certain emails.

This sounds great. I have a question or two though, having reviewed a number of other affiliate plugins for Wordpress.
Can I prevent the plugin from taking over an individual occurrence of the key word? I find in other plugins, if I have:
http:/somedomain.com as a link on a blog post
and I have the word
“domain” as a keyword
the affiliate software hijacks the “domain” part of the link, breaking the original hyperlink.
Does Ninja Blogger do this?
Also, can I enable or disable the groups of keywords as a group? If you already pointed this part out I apologize.
One more thing. I use “YourMember” membership plugin for WP. Can someone there help integrate Ninja with YM?
If so, what would it cost?
