Why is it that SO many IM people put videos on their sites that have no controls for pausing, volume, full screen option or progress bar??
Then there’s the music. It’s good but the lack of a volume control is a pain when it’s that loud.
As for video content . . . I’m a YouTube partner and I can tell you that most people (myself included) positively LOATHE videos that make you read.
They remind me of the kind of tutorials made by kids where directions are given by showing somebody typing (badly) in notepad. While IM videos are obviously better quality, the effect is the same. People tune out.
You’d be much better off to get somebody with a good speaking voice who can read your script in a neutral, clearly enunciated accent that is easy to understand and instead of showing so much text on screen, show the product in action as the narrator explains it. Making sure of course to not allow the background music to drown him out.
If you can show your narrator on screen for at least part of the video so much the better
I am certain that these things will result in more people watching the video all the way through and get a better click-through as well because it’ll come off so much better.
Hi Pawan, thanks a lot for the update, will upgrade my plugin version asap. As it is, my subscription rate is still at about twice as that before I installed the plugin (that was last October 2010).
By the way, I can’t help but agree with Karl’s comment above, and I also look forward to something like better looking optin skins (that’s a clue there… hehe) and popups. I can just imagine how my subscription rate would increase further.

I have around 40ish unique visitors a day but have virtually no comments, would this plugin help with getting the initial comments in the first place? Or do i need to drive more traffic to my site?
