Rescue Heroes Team

May 21st, 2010

Rescue Hereos take a child’s love of their every day heros, fireman, police officers, doctors and all sorts of rescue workers, adds a dash of imagination, and a pinch of adventure. Leave it to Fisher Price to make an indestructible action figure for kids of all ages.

These fun little rescue workers are not just for boys. Little girls will love them just as much. And you’ll feel confident that you’re encouraging positive role models in your child’s life.

Rescue Heroes are tough and rugged and ready to be played with! No wimpy toys allowed in our adventures. Even after four boys and a brood of nieces and nephews our Rescue Heroes were still ready for more action, and eventually passed on through a charitable event with plenty of life left in them.

They can take a little rough play too. Not a single one of our Rescue Heroes action figures was ever broken, which is more than I can say for the drones of other action figures my kids (and my trash can) have seen over the years. Kids play rough, it’s just a fact of life. Even the most gentle and calm of children can get a little over zealous at play time. What fun would it be otherwise?

Their chunky shape makes them easy for little fingers to manipulate and maneuver. And even big kids will appreciate the fun features of each character. All the characters come with the tools of their trade, plus a side of imaginative adaptation. You and your child are sure to enjoy hours of fun with rescuing and helping the community with these action figures.

Solar Sun Rings Reviews

May 21st, 2010

Not only do Solar Sun Rings keep your pool a toasty temperature, they are much safer than the average pool cover. The circular shape leaves open space as opposed to a solid cover that someone could become trapped beneath or tangled in. The discs are also held in place with magnets on the sides of each one, connecting them as if they were one cover. In the event of an accidental fall the magnets would separate.

Another added benefit to using Solar Sun Rings is water and pool chemicals cannot evaporate through the layers of heavy weight vinyl. This means that you not only make use of the sun’s natural energy, but you also conserve water and save money on treatment chemicals. Better for the environment and for your wallet.

These have actually turned out to be a better heating source than the traditional pool heat pump. More huge savings in comparison to running the old heat pump, which ran all day every day to keep the pool a nice warm temperature for the kids to swim in. Solar Sun Rings actually kept the pool about 6 degrees warmer on average. An amazing difference from such a small change in how we take care of the swimming pool.

When the heat of the summer is over and your pool is empty your Sun Rings can be stacked for easy storage, taking up much less room than your average pool cover. Take care not to stack them in direct sunlight, because they will end up permanently stuck together.

Dymo Letratag Plus Label Maker Review

May 21st, 2010

Just about everyone could use a little more organization in their lives. Having a label maker handy can make even the disorganized seem organized again. To keep you even more on top of things, this label maker uses direct thermal print technology, which means no messy ink cartridges to handle.

The ergonomic design of this handy gadget from Dymo makes it easy to hold in one hand, while wrangling kids and gathering supplies with the other hand. With a little practice you can actually use this unit one handed if you need to. Get out those text messaging thumbs and type away on the keypad, hit print, and you’re off and running with everything properly labeled.

The uses of a label maker in general are unending. I purchased ours right before we moved, and it came in extremely handy for labeling just about everything. The kid’s lunch containers and school supplies were all labeled quickly and easily using the Dymo label maker this year. I just entered their name and student ID number, gave it a fun border, changed the font and hit the print button.

With the direct thermal technology you don’t have to worry about smudged ink or waiting around for the label to dry. You print, cut, peel, and stick with no fuss. In the 8 months I’ve been using our label maker I’ve gotten a perfect label every single time. It’s completely fool proof. The kids have even used it to print off their own labels for extra school supplies, cd’s, toys, and all the little things kids tend to carry around with them.
